Whiskey Row in Prescott Arizona
When someone is considering to purchase Prescott Arizona real estate they often want to get an idea of what there is to do in town.
If art galleries and old west saloons standing one next to the other is your idea of a good time, then you’ll definately want to walk this historic block and see and smell it for yourself.
Prescott’s world famous “Whiskey Row” is located directly in downtown square on South Montezuma Street between Gurley Street and Goodwin Avenue. It is a one block stretch of street that is saturated in the history of the old west.
Most of the buildings on this block were constructed between the fall of 1900 and 1905. A fire that occured on July 14, 1900 destroyed all of the structures that stood on Whiskey Row.
When you visit Prescott, looking for a home or vacant land, try to imagine that this one short block was once home to 40 saloons — all open for business at the same time.
