Visiting “Distinctive” Prescott Arizona
For those of you who are looking for a city that’s got a serious reputation, Prescott Arizona has been recently been awarded a position on the 2006 list of Dozen “Distinctive” Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
There’s a good chance it has something to do with the 700+ buildings that have been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
However we Prescottonians think that it has more to do with our vibrant and fun city that mixes small-town hospitality with a real western feel.
In the end, when you bring together the truly breath-taking beauty of the area with the architectural and cultural heritage, “it’s easy to see”, as Richard Moe, president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation puts it, “why this is such an ideal destination.”
