My lovely wife asked some friends we invited to a BBQ at our Prescott home why they chose this area for real property and land ownership.
After pondering a moment, our neighbor’s wife Susan replied: “We live here in Prescott Arizona because it matches our ideals: we want to live in a place where we can feel we are raising our children in a healthy, safe environment with great schools and colleges.
We’re done with the rat race, long-term it’s a great place for us to retire, it has a wonderful lifestyle, and it’s a benefit of value to our real estate portfolio.”
“And honestly,” she continued, “after living in Chicago and Los Angeles, Matt and I don’t mind it at all that Phoenix is an hour away — we love the feel and atmosphere of a smaller town. If we’re giving up anything living here instead of the major cities it’s all the traffic, smog, and the unfriendliness to which we almost became accustomed.
I smiled because many of the reasons they moved to Prescott are similar to the ones I’ve heard other friends and acquaintances mention those same things over and over again.
