Lockheed Martin comes to Prescott Arizona

There are going to be over 100 new jobs in the aviation sector available in Prescott Arizona area thanks to a deal that Lockheed setup with the Arizona Department of Commerce.

The $872,000 job-training grant, as part of an FAA privatization contract, will help Lockheed train its new workers at the Arizona FAA center in Prescott Valley Arizona.

The training effort will carry on for approximately twenty-four months, and according to economic development officials, the jobs at Lockheed with pay an average of $65,000 per year.

This deal between Lockheed and the state of Arizona, shows us once again that the Prescott Arizona real estate market is an area that is seen as an excellent place for the growth of business, and an area that contains people with skill sets from the high tech world.

Obviously, what is happening is a big plus for the communities of Prescott and Prescott Valley. It will benefit the entire community, and there’s been quite a bit of excitement on the part of the folks in the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation who see this as just another step in an ongoing process of growth that this area has been experiencing at a steady rate over the last dozen or so years.

It’s important to know that Arizona already has major aerospace and avaiation operations. Companies such as Raythoen, US Airways, Boeing, Honeywell and Southwest Airlines have found and experience the benefits found in setting up shop here.
